Judy McEwen - Bunkley

I believe that every person has a purpose and destiny in life.  My mission, purpose and destiny is to inform and educate people “Why Kids Commit Crime”. I have been preparing for this task for over 20 years and gained a wealth of knowledge and experience: 

  • Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, Jail Div Juvenile Manager - Youth charged as adults  
  • First African-American Administrator for Shelby County Juvenile Court  
  • Business - Crichton College & Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business
  • Crime scene video analyst for Memphis Police Department  
  • Memphis FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association - Board of Directors  
  • “Outstanding Young Woman of America” award  
  • Produced syndicated teen television series,   We Are Tomorrow…R-U? for 14 years  
  • TN Commission on Abused & Neglected Children – Board of Directors  
  • Organized Neighborhood Watch groups throughout Memphis and Shelby County – provided grant funds to help fight crime  
  • Selected “50 Women Who Make A Difference in Memphis”  
  • Received “Angel Award for Excellence in Media”
